Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Study of Adults with or without Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Purpose

You are invited to participate in a research study designed to look at the electrical activity of your brain. The purpose of measuring these parameters is to see if we can describe the electrical activity that causes Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and compare the electrical activity to that of individuals who are not affected by this condition.

Criteria for Participation

  • Participants must be 20-60 years of age.
  • Participants can be either healthy or have OCD.

Research Components

The TMS study is non-invasive and uses a magnet that is placed on the scalp. The magnet can measure brain activity by stimulating the part of your brain that controls finger movement. TMS will take place at Yale University. $100 will be provided for your participation
