Biographical Info

Kathleen Balestracci, PhD, MSW, is an Associate Research Scientist in the Child Study Center's Outpatient Clinical Services, working in In-Home Programs. She has been research faculty at the Child Study Center for six years, following three years as research faculty at the Yale School of Public Health. Dr. Balestracci is the Evaluation Coordinator for IICAPS Services, responsible for the statewide evaluation of the Intensive In-home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service (IICAPS) as it is delivered at 20 sites across Connecticut. She is the Research Coordinator for the Family Health and Development Project, a randomized controlled trial of IICAPS. Dr. Balestracci received her doctoral degree from Yale University in Epidemiology and Public Health in 2001, and her social work degree in policy and planning from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work in 1994.
